I purchased Therabath Refill Paraffin Wax for my hot wax therapy device at home.  The wax bath was a gift from my boyfriend.  He knows how I love getting manicure, pedicure, wax treatment and facials in the salon.  He also knows that I am teaching myself how to save.  It was actually the perfect birthday gift. 



As mentioned above, beeswax ear candles are the best to use for this type of therapy, also because they burn longer than paraffin wax candles and because of their cleaner, more "even" burn. Whether you lie down or sit upright during the procedure, you'll want to use some sort of a shield to prevent hot wax from dripping around your ear during the procedure and to protect your hair.



After this process has been repeated you will have a hand coated in layers of warm wax. You then put your hand into a plastic bag that comes with the wax. This protects against oils in the wax getting on clothing or furniture. Next, you put your hand into a terry cloth mitt or wrap it in a towel. You can do two hands or just one at a time.



The high density gel is the most difficult to work with because it is thick and hard to pour. Wax candles become liquid when they reach their melting point making them easy to pour. Gel doesn't become liquid but rather a thick syrup and if is not poured right will create bubbles in the candle. One way to prevent this is pour melted gel down the side of the container when making the candle.
